@theMANxGOLFER – Hmmmm, there’s different schools of thought on grip pressure with associated pros and cons…so it would depend on who you ask. Personally, I don’t intentionally change mine from shot to shot.

To correct my swing release I swing a towel on a wall or mat. The harder I hit the wall the better the release timing. I rocmmend a short game video on grip pressure. I significantly change mine depending on the shot, is this right?

@MrMick73 – Saw this in BBC article today regarding whether or not Tiger thinks about his release…

“Woods is working on his swing & other technical aspects of his game with coach Sean Foley but said his problem area is not just related to his off the tee concerns. “It could be pitch shots as well because I have to change everything – it’s the whole release pattern,” “…how I release irons, drivers, they are all related.”

I want you to make a video with a full swing and NOT release the club head.
Im sure Gravity & centrifugal force will defeat you.

@jaacobbowden No one needs to concentrate on releasing the club head , flat wrist , straight arm, bent elbow, flying elbow, swing plane , back plane, back pain racing brain.

If your body is in the correct position at impact , all of the other bullshit just happens , it can’t not happen.
Just watch the Ben Hogan Videos.
Dont swing your arms to hit a golf ball.

@MrMick73 – Tiger may or may not be thinking about how he releases the club head. The only way to know for sure would be to ask him personally. Certainly when one makes any swing changes (like Tiger is again – now with Foley), at least for awhile you have to consciously think about what you are doing until the skill can be passed over to the unconscious mind and one can swing freely.

releasing the club head ? what a crock , do you really think Tiger thinks about realeasing the club head on hsi down swing , or does that Negro just swing at speed. Friggen golf tards

Good advice, keeping the club head back gives you more power. My problem is i release to soon because it feels natural but i agree that keeping the club back makes you hit down on the ball which produces more speed and power. This sport is to hard as soon as i think i figured things out, i get into a hitting slump and always teak my technique until that tweak fails and i try something else after. Golf is all about confidence and experience. Overtime you eventually make less mistakes

Golf is a physically demanding sport, and a great golfer needs to stay flexible and be in great shape. The pro’s spend thousands of dollars on golf fitness trainers and coaches to help keep them on top of their game, but for me that was not a possibility. After years of complaining about my game plateauing and about being sore from playing so much I knew I had to do something about it, but after a few stretches I was lost.

A colleague of mine showed me this great tool!

@TheMaximiize When you are beginning many times you top the ball because you yank your head up to see your shot. Try keeping your head down and following through with your shoulders. When I started out I would go to the driving range and hit slowly just so i would be cognizant of when I did exactly that. good luck!!
